1. SALLY. Female / 31-40 yrs. / Caucasian. Sally, 33, is an attractive, single-mother from the small town of Point Pleasant, West Virginia. The night her child was born, her husband was killed in a bombing in Vietnam. Because of this tragedy, Sally has become a recluse and is protective of her child. While she doesn’t get to spend too much time with her son, she holds down two jobs to afford the house. The night of the Mothman, Sally is put under the creature’s hypnotic spell. She houses the creature and keeps it hidden from the rest of the world. Her relationship with the Mothman is off-puttingly normal, treating it more like a houseguest than her master.
2. INDRID COLD. Male / 31-40 yrs. / Caucasian. Indrid Cold is an alien liaison, sent in to interact with humans in Point Pleasant as a means to capture the Mothman. Indrid’s species created the Mothman. Although he can speak like a human he prefers to have a fixed expression, usually grinning and speaks telepathically. By doing this, he believes humans will find a sense of ease in his smile, when in reality it creates the opposite effect. Indrid may be a human-alien liaison, but doesn’t understand much about humanity itself. The night he interrogates Sally, Indrid had been using sophisticated alien-tech and knows it’s been in Sally’s area. Pressured by his superiors, Indrid is dead-set on capturing the creature.
